Country:    | Will they become popular? Probably not. There are a plethora of much better extensions, and .ly's only merit seems to be fairly poor names like those ones.

Country:  | They are still too expensive ($150/y). Not cheap for domain hacks. Not to mention that management of the .ly registry has been chaotic in the past. Bad memories for some.

DNF$: 10 Location: London | They have dropped the price by 50% to 75$ per annum and changed the registrar. The guys just want to make money now. They are quite helpful I would say.
