My auction has been cancelled?

wtf!
I ve had some offers over a domain of mine listed here as well,
just today 2 days and a half before auction ended sedo cancelled my auction without any further notice from their side.
In fact i found this by chance!

Has anybody experienced something like this before?

Have you tried contacting Sedo for an explanation?

yeah i just did, phone is dead since its a bit late here in Europe so i filled a ticket in their support desk....
the irony of this that i ve bought this domain 1 month ago through sedo and now that i got 11 bids in one month and decided to put it in an auction thhey ve cancelled it.

the only think i can assume is trademark issues, but if this is true how they permited me buying the domain just one month ago?
also how they permitted someone else selling a domain with the same keyword but different extension just yesterday?

My auction had been canceled 2, and I got this from sedo,

Hello Seller,

Unfortunately we had to cancel this transaction as we were unable to confirm
that the winning bidder was genuine. The information listed in the account
was not correct and therefore we had to cancel the sale for security reasons.

So I don't trust sedo anymore...

Arrow

my favorite sedo story

I received a bid of £1000 on a domain and took it to auction which closed the next day with no explanation..after many emails the response from sedo.com was
Quote:
" a sedo broker bid UK account managers by working on behalf of the buyer mistakenly bid £1000, when the buyer had specified his maximum was £750. Therefore he had to cancel the auction. It would appear this was genuine human error, however he should have contacted you immediately to explain the situation and I apologize for this.
So instead of sedo making this right they just cancelled the auction..perhaps the buyer didn't want the transction public..

Quote:
If either party requests a block of price and domain name record, an additional 2.5% fee will be assessed to the party requesting the block
.

Either way the bid of £750 should of been binding being it was authorized by the buyer..instead sedo's response was
Quote:
So what we can do for you, is to list the domain in a new auction for a reserve of £750 (around $1500). We will also add the domain to all featured listings pages. The buyer who was willing to bid £750 will of cours be informed and invited to bid again. This will maximize your chances of achieving a sale.

Why wasn't the buyers bid of £750 binding ?? only sedo knows..draw you own conclusions

Does Sedo even verify that the seller owns the domain?

as i wrote before 3-4 hours after sedo cancelled auction i received another bid almost tje same amount as the original one along with a comment from the bidder which i cant see since its not approved yet

sedo is moving with charcoals while domainers need gasoline at least

This is getting outrageous
The new bid i got was from the buyer that started the cancelled auction, he posted a comment wandering what happened.
If i didnt ask to cancel the sale and so is the bidder THEN WHY SEDO CANCELLED IT AND made this auction go blank?

My auction was cancelled after I received a message(which is still on my transaction page)stating that payment had been received and my transfer agent would be getting in touch. No reply from the agent about the reason for the cancellation and when I asked for a reason from SEDO support, I was told to contact the transfer agent who will not reply to me!!! This auction had 4 bidders. How can the auction be cancelled after payment has been received?
