Question about sedos 7 day auction start time

I have sold several names at auction and the time starts from when first offer was received, which has been fine usually 6 days left till auction closes, but what if potenial buyer waits to send counter offer after 6 days have elapsed, and I then agree to send it to auction, does it mean only 1 day left at auction.
    Thanks in advance Joe T

    Hi Joe,

Great question! A Marketplace Auction may be started up to five (5) days after a buyer has submitted an offer. Therefore all Marketplace Auctions must last for at least two (2) days.

    Example:

Day 1: Buyer makes a binding offer at 2 PM EST.
Day 2: No action by either party.
Day 3: Seller starts an auction at 9 PM EST.
    Day 4: Auction Continues.
    Day 5: Auction Continues.
    Day 6: Auction Continues.
Day 7: Auction Ends at 2 PM EST.

Marketplace Auctions are scheduled to close seven (7) days after that offer was submitted. However, if an offer is received within five (5) minutes of when an auction is supposed to close, the auction will be extended automatically by the system for an additional ten (10) minutes. This can happen multiple times and can delay the expected end time of an auction.

Joe, if you wait 6 days to respond to a bidder the push to auction option is gone. You would only be able to counter, accept current offer or cancel assuming you went back and fourth more than once. The window to send to auction starts with the bid and ends exactly 5 days later.

Thanks guys, I countered the buyers offer immediately they havent responded to my counter so i was concerned if they countered at 6 days from there original offer and I accepted and pushed to the auction it would only last a day.
