(3) .us Cities for sale - 100% to Tsunami Relief Fund!

Hello Folks,

I never really get excited over any other extension other than the .COM and for good reason. State and City .us domain names have finally become available though for the first time to the public and I believe a new market is about to emerge for travel and real estate companies wishing to acquire these names as they are likely to become the extension of choice for us cities and states. The good ones are few in number too.

Cyphix had a good idea to auction off PapuaNewGuinae.org and donate to the Tsunami Relief Funds. The same goes here for 3 .us city names. The money will be donated to the American Red Cross's Tsunami Relief Fund and a screenshot of the donation receipt will be sent for verification.

#1) Hudsonville .us

HUDSONVILLE, MI
Population: 7,160
Avg Household Income: $68,859
Google Search Results "exact matches": 294,000 results

#2) Ayden .us

AYDEN, NC
Population: 4,622
Avg Household Income: $42,184
Google Search Results "exact matches": 188,000 results

#3) GraniteFalls .us

GRANITE FALLS, NC
Population: 4,612
Avg Household Income: $48,513
Google Search Results "exact matches": 407,000 results

GRANITE FALLS, MN
Population: 3,070
Avg Household Income: $46,118

GRANITE FALLS, WA
Population: 2,347
Avg Household Income: $65,770

A city name in the .us extension is quite hard to get as very few people have them yet, and because (according to my own research) there are only between 5 - 6,000 US cities with populations of 4,000 or more people. 4,000 people is about what I'd consider to be a sizeable city, maybe your threshold is lower or higher. The point is, there are only a few of these names and I believe they will be worth more and more as time goes on, especially as real estate and travel companies wish to acquire them.

Population data was gathered from www.citydata.us and household income data was gathered from www.justlisted.com. JustListed.com also gives population data, but in many cases it tends to be much higher than the population data listed on the census and citydata.us websites, so you are seeing the lower numbers here which I believe are more accurate.

Let's start the offering price at just $50 and see where it goes from there!
Again, the ENTIRE amount whatever it may be, will be dontated to the American Red Cross's Tsunami Relief Fund.

Starting bid - $50

A worthy cause and commendable gesture on your part. One question: How long will this auction run?

I was hoping to let this run for about a week, so it will be over next Sunday around 12PM (EST US time). Come on people, lets support a good cause!

Last chance or I guess I'll keep the names and donate the $50 anyway.
