It's a rule so potential buyer knows the stats are genuine before he makes an offer. Some members (newbies in particular) may buy taking the traffic claims at face value with no verification, defeating the purpose of the stats requirement. Thread closed.
Producer told me I should have at least moved it to a non-traffic forum rather than close it so wish granted, thread moved and re-opened.
