    It actually is correct, it is ESPAÑA using RACE (Row-Based ASCII Compatible Encoding)
    I seem to remember this is what was used at the beginning, during the initial IDN test bed but was abandoned in favor of punycode?

    I don't know what happened to RACE IDNs but I think they were deleted, maybe someone who was around during the initial IDN testbed phase can comment?

    I suppose the fact that bq--absxg4db6fqq.com and bq--absxg4db6fqq.net are registered and have been since 2000 has a bearing on your assumption?
