Just a note for everyone.
This domain has false overture and gets ZERO traffic.
I would be careful from now on when anyone says no stats and just registered.
Lots of this stuff going on now.
I once thought I was wrong...
But I was mistaken.
Hey, I've got a name with ovt w/e of 2500 and it gets zero traffic.
It's had ovt w/e above 1600 since I registered it four months ago, and no traffic ever.
You've had the name 9 hours. That's hardly enough time to test it and pass harsh judgement.
Thats why you look on whois.sc to see if he did just register it. Don't give the guy bad feedback if it get's no traffic. Thats the chances of buying a domain name thats new with ovt. it's a 50-50 chance of getting traffic or not.

I didn't give bad feedback, it was my mistake for not doing any research.
Just warning about domains with overture in general now-a-days, many have false ovt w/e and no traffic.

But I was mistaken.

I wouldn't buy a domain based on overture w/e unless it was a fresh reg and the seller had no traffic stats. Otherwise, if the seller had stats, the overture score becomes meaningless to me.Originally Posted by nitronet
We all know the risks associated with these domains. The seller risks losing a big revenue domain by selling immediately after registration. The buyer takes on the risk of the domain not being a revenue generator. It's not fun to take a chance on a name and have it not be a winner, but that isn't grounds to "hint" that a particular seller, or sellers in general, are somehow responsible. It's the nature of the game.

Nitronet, As a reminder to you and for those that didn't see my original post - I had given a starting asking price of $25 on the domain and a BIN of $160. You posted sold at BIN 6 minutes after I posted it for sale. If you checked registration date/time, I posted it for sale hours after registering it. I did not have a chance to test traffic as I said before posting it for sale.
Nitro, I really don't know what you tried to accomplish by posting your comments in this thread - which I find to be personally offensive. (For the record, Nitro did NOT contact me privately about this.) I am a reputable seller here and you made it seem like I did something wrong when I did not. If you had offered $25 and that was the highest offer per my original post, I'd have honored that whether there was 1 visit during the time I had the domain or 1000. If I had made traffic claims and the traffic wasn't there and you contacted me privately after a few days, I'd have happily given you a refund.Originally Posted by nitronet
In no way did I misrepresent what I was offering for sale. The domain has the overture with extension I listed. As a search term, it also has overture which is generally a good sign for domains that are not typo's of popular sites or the .com of an active .net etc.
If you are disgruntled about a purchase in the future, I'd suggest going directly to the seller. If you are disgruntled about the 'system', then take it to a discussion thread and not a sales thread.
