Hello,

after much financial thought I have unfortuanatly decided to get some cash now by selling my new site. It has only been up for 48hrs and there are limited stats i have to show.

What I can show:

Yesteday (26th) for the whole day google adsense bar reported 1,186 impressions.

For todays few hours googel has reported 1,267 impresisons. So clearly the site is growing in traffic.

Yesterday it made $2.40 with google

so far today: $3.31

NOTE: for some reasons the google adsense bar doesnt always show. I am not quite sure if they block certain IP's after they have seen the bar X times or if they jsut have an "adfree" time..

There have been a total of 71 domains listed by users. 13 are mine.

A total of 1021 vote cast since the launch.

There are a total of 12 registered users listing thier domains.

About the site:

Users can list thier domains on the site for free and easily. Each time they see a name and vote, the screen is refreshed to a new name and in the top left hand corner, their vote is averaged into all the previuos votes, and the final price is shown of the appraisal.

If a viewer/voter likes a domain name listed, he/she can click buy this name, and a form is setup where the viewer fills out and it gets emailed to the domain owner, provided they registered with a correct email address.

For revenue, the affiliate boxes shown are recieving a few clicks but no sales yet. I dropped the pool program and replaced it with overture becuase pool only counts clicks that result in a backorder within 24hrs of the click.

I had the site custom coded, I do not think you willl find a script that will do what this site will. The closest thing i found was the hotornot.com script.

About the sale:

I would like offers to be made publicly here, I would like to start with a minimum offer of $300. Please increase your offers by $10 at a minimum.

If you should buy the site, I reccomend we hire the guy who I had build the site, migrate it to your server/host. Just incase some PHP/Database problems happen. I am willing to pay for 1/2 of the price. It should not be very expensive, I will ask him next time i see him (in a few hours).

Or you can try and move the site and databases yourself.

Or we can keep it where it is (under my Hosting account as an addon domain) and I can grant u access to just that site via FTP, althoguh I owuldnt recomend this.

The domain name is registered @ enom, so free push!

I think this site has alot of potential if you can get it really going, think there is thousands to be made.

By the way, the average click on my site on hte google bar makes $1.20-$1.70!!!!

as far as moving the site - that will be relatively simple. My main concern is the script.
Will the script designer resell this site or will the buyer have exclusive rights?

to be honest, i dont think it is too complicated a script
picture rating scripts are everywhere and this is just a variation of it

jh - if you get a script designed and you dont mind reselling it, id be interested in having a look at it

though im still very interested in ratemydomain

EXLUSIVE. He is an awsome scripter and has been doing this for the last 3 weeks. Its finally ready to go (a few days ago).

Common, to set up a site like this, if your as dumb as me when it comes to design/PHP you are looking at around the same price as what I would accept. With established traffic.

Shaggy, there is something strange going on with the google bar, it seems like 1/2 the time it doesnt show

So it is possible that my stats (google stats) are really double, not sure.

But there is a google bar at the bottom of every page.

Just sometimes likes to hide

If someone would teach me how to get stats for an ADD ON domain please let me know.

I have webalizer but it shows for 123-freestuff.com, the main Hosting account.

I have raw access logs, but that (when run through a program) just shows 123-freestuff.com i think.

As you can see, I am not too knowlegable about technical things

i am interested in this
but for me the only value is on the script

the site has very low traffic and has no se inblund links

so the most id offer for this is $100.00 - the reason for this is i just want the raw script as i want to design the skin myself

i understand if this isnt enough as youll probably get more from someone who doesnt know how to code

You could reskin the site. And the site gets moderate traffic, dont you think?

How could you expect the site to show links for SE's or from other sites when SE's update every 30 days (i think).

Getting into the search engines takes time, SEO takes longer.

the site traffic is very low
and not all search engines take 30 days to update

my new sites had over a dozen inbound links in under 5 days - getting into search engines is easy
