Hello Adam,
I found you are the registrant of wuda.ca from GoDaddy.com. wuda means: Wuhan University. Wuhan University is one of the top colleges in China.
I am wondering how I can get this domain name from you?
My name is Helen xxx, I am in Brampton. I am creating a website for the Alumni of Wuhan University in Canada. Our alumni used this domain before, we would like to reuse it.
My contact: 905 xxx xxxx (work)

Based on the email I thought I may have picked it up in the last 2 months so I checked and I have had it over 4 years.
Found this so I guess it's real:
"For those of you following Wuhan news, Wuda (short for Wuhan University)
Still she will have to pony up or bugger off.

So how much should that be for her?
The domain was on sedo for a while and then with WhyPark, so she likely was not looking for the domain until now, which makes sense in that only once you have graduated do you become a member of the alumni, and that takes a while.
Yes, for sure: if a former registrant comes to you a few days or weeks after the TBR you might be a bit more charitable, but in this case, it is plausible that this young lady had no knowledge of or involvement in the prior operation of the web site and is coming to you because she found out now, for the first time, that you have the wadu.ca registration.
Wuhan University might as well set up a campus in Vancouver
