Hi guys, I'm having a beta testing weekend for pennyauction.ca. Once the site go live there will by a daily 3 letter domain for sale. You might be able to get them for a few pennies but first I need some beta testers. The site will be launching on May 15th with all kinds of great products that you can get for a few bucks. If you're not sure how penny auctions work please read the "how it works" section on the website.

There will be 16 items in auctions ending anytime from now to Tuesday evening. The WIN limit is set to unlimited so go ahead and win everything … if you can! Bid packs also count as a won item and will not add bids to your account this time.

BONUS!!! At the end of the beta test, whoever wins the most auctions will receive an Ipod shuffle (you pick the color and engraving). In the event of a tie the winner with the most bid remaining in their account will win. It’s not about winning the most expensive items but about the most items. To thank everyone who participated in the beta test you will receive 10 free bids in your live account on the 15th.

The more testers we can get the better so please ask your friends to join. Give them your affiliate code that you can find under “My Account” – “Affiliate” and when we go live, you will receive 10% of their first pick pack purchase. For example if they buy a 100 bid pack, you get 10 free for all the users that register with your affiliate code.

Here are the steps:

Once you get on the site, please register and verify your email for the validation email. You should be receiving it right away and often it goes in the spam box so please check the spam box. If you don’t get the validation email please send us an email at beta@pennyauction.ca and we will validate it manually. Please see the known bug section below. Once your account is validated, you will automatically receive 1000 bids in your account.

The live chat will be ON most of the time so feel free to ask any questions or comments.

After the beta testing we would be interested to know the follow:

1. Did you see any bugs that are not in our known bug list?
2. How did you like the layout and colors?
3. Which browser were you using and which version?
4. Do you have recommendations for existing or new features?
5. Did you find it hard to understand how it works?


Any comments and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Please do not buy bid pack for the beta test.

We are aware of a few bugs and are working on it.

1. Seems like some users are not receiving the validation email.
2. The Live chat button can only be clicked on the right side.

Just to be sure, the products on the site are not in auction for real and will not be shipped to the winner. It's beta test, whoever wins the most item will get an ipod shuffle.
