wow, no drops for a month then! I wonder how big the first one in November will be?
I actually don't mind this respite from checking the list every week.

So what is everyone doing this October with their TBR cash, since there are no TBR's? Save it for when they start again, buy .ca's or other domains elsewhere, put it towards renewals?
I am focusing on meeting my renewals for Oct and Nov, and culling out some names. Maybe the odd purchase if I see something I like at a good price, or a good hand reg.

I'll be culling some dotca's too in the next few weeks and waiting for the TBR.
.ca's are my fav.
Other than the .co auctions things seem fairly mellow in domains this fall, don't feel much of a pick up since end of summer.

According to this in CIRA http://cira.ca/ca-faq/ it looks like it won't be back until late November or early December. Yikes! Should be quite a list by then.
This is probably just "play safe" dating as most other sources seem to think Nov 3...
12. What is going to happen to TBR?
The TBR acquisition service at https://tbr.cira.ca/tbr will not change significantly. TBR will NOT be served over EPP service. The existing interface with all its parameters has been kept intact. However, it should be noted that Registrars do not need to provide name server (host) data or registrant id data. Providing this data will not result in an error but, the data will be ignored by the program. The TBR service will be in moratorium for a time during the migration phase. The last run will occur on Wednesday October 6th. The service will be brought back on line some time in late November or early December.

I miss going through the lists each week but I don't look forward to wading through the list the first week back. Though it will be a good opportunity to grab some decent names as there will be the same people as always but a bigger pool of domains to fight over.

So how long will they take to run 25000+ registrations which are to be deleted?
If they have problems that day the irony would be complete.
CIRA website now shows next TBR Oct 29th but the list is cut down to about 2000 names.
One of the names that actually dropped last week which i was looking at now shows in whois that is To be released on January 12th 2011.
It would be nice if we knew what was going on.
if they wait until Jan 12 2011... its going to be a zoo... lol

Check the whois for the domains you have backordered. It'll show Jan. 2011.
According to CIRA
"The next TBR session will be on November 3, 2010 ..."
"There is currently an issue with the TBR data being displayed which is being corrected"
Last time I looked the list had been taken down.
