"Your domain name xxx.ca has been deleted."
The "deleted" really means "suspended"
At least, CIRA sends it out on time as a warning (it's the only email they send - no more, 7 days' warning, etc.)

Which is good for names reg'd there.
But, as per theinvestor's last post, I've relied on my CIRA databases.
Domains tbr'd through Pool's affiliates are sometimes nerve-wracking.

I described the new life cycle in this post:

I assume that email means your domain has entered the "redemption grace" period. It is indeed odd that CIRA would send an email simply stating the domain has been "deleted"... as this will obviously confuse end-users who really have no idea what the domain life cycle is.

The problem QM is you can't transfer right away. You have to wait 30 days...and i don't like having to think about transferring right away to Namespro and waiting 30 days before i get the domain. Since there is a cost right away and it doesn't actually begin processing the transfer until 30 days later.
Actually I believe it's 60 days now...

The deleted email is poorly worded and just about caused me a heart attack when one of our domains expired. The lack of confirmation on renewal
is an absolute abomination as it means we have to physically go in and check the whois now for information.
A decline in service from a registry that is swimming in the extra dollars we've been paying for renewals. They have a massive surplus there.
No excuse for this I'm disgusted.
Everybody is disgusted but nobody is getting up on his - or her - hind legs and doing anything about it.
