Question TBR Info

Sorry guys for the newbie question but a few questions on the whole TBR process. If I go to auction at namespro and win the bid there at the TBR auction this does not guarantee me the domain. Is this correct? Also I may have a highest bid at namespro but another register could still register this name for less????
Which leads to my last question is there a registrar that gets most of the names or they all pretty equal?

Thank you for any advice.

When I do a backorder its usually with pool.com, not all are the same. One you never want to use is Godaddy. I've personally seen the most success in backordering with Pool.

The backorder/bidding only gets you the name if that specific registrar manages to grab the name during that TBR session. So even if you bid $1000 on something at namespro, it could land somewhere else where the highest bidder is only $50.... As Ashaw mentioned, Pool does seem to have a fair share of success. (Though, Godaddy doesn't offer backordering of .ca TBRs)

Also be aware that you may have to go to a post-auction at some registrars for tbr domains as well.
