Problem to transfer a .tv

Hi,
I have sold a .tv domain and need to transfer it to the buyer. The problem is: on the side of my current registrar, there is no auth. code for this domain (contacted the support twice) and the registrar of the buyer is asking for an auth. code. So, basically i don't know how to proceed from here . Did someone face this problem before and how did you solve it?
Thanks,
Fredo

Where is it registered? Is it a Premium? If it is a premium then it will be reg'd @ enom, you cannot move premiums to other registrar's it can only be pushed to another Enom account.

It is not a premium and it is registered at 1&1. I still have not found any solution.

First lesson, none of us should be using 1 and 1 , they're nightmares.
If none of us use then we dont pass on their problems.
Okay, sorry . As far as i know they charge to internally push/transfer
One of you need to pay it basically, the buyer or seller.
Incidentally us in the UK, have an even worse deal than our US counterparts with 1 and 1, they treat us like second tier customers & all pricing is more.

Good Luck & hope you can resolve, surely their support can help you more?
cheers
Pred

The buyer is dutch and it is registered with 1&1 France, so it is more complicated than doing a push. The support keeps saying that there is no code.

Can't you internally transfer though? by paying fee?
Then they can get a code from security settings etc. to transfer out?

Hmm... I used to have some domains reg'd at 1&1 and it's a pain in the ass to do things like this.
HOW TO TRANSFER A DOMAIN FROM 1&1 ( 1and1 ) :

Login to http://admin.1and1.com/ and unlock domain(s) to transfer
Use the "Info" selection to acquire the Auth Code for each domain to be transferred -- these are needed for confirmations during the remaining process
Adjust DNS as desired if needed - some say setting the DNS to the 1&1 defaults speeds things up. However it may be 6 or 1/2 dozen as DNS changes at 1&1 are pretty slow to happen.
Turn off Private WHOIS if enabled (wait for it to propagate)
Make sure the WHOIS E-Mail addresses are correct
Initiate the transfer request(s) at gaining registrar
Confirm e-mail/links as needed to complete transfer(s)

Once you have completed the transfer [I mean that the other party has the domain safely in their possession]. You need to cancel the domain or 1&1 may charge you for it at the time of renewal. To do this login to https://cancel.1and1.com/
cancel domain(s)/package(s) using the "Change provider" option.

Hope this works for you.
Len.

Transferring any name from 1and1 is always a nightmare. I used to have an account with them couple years ago.

klklinc guide is pretty much the way you should do it but with 1and1 prepare for frustration.
