Big Show on the Bayou: DN Journal's Complete Review of Domainer Mardi Gras

When someone tells me they are thinking of starting a new domain conference I tell them "think of something else!" The conference calendar is already bursting at the seams and with only so many dollars to go around, any newcomer is bound to have a hard time attracting registrants.

Despite that, when I heard a new show was going to be staged during Mardi Gras in New Orleans I started looking for a flight. With its location in the great city on the Mississippi, its Mardi Gras backdrop and a seasoned group of domain pros at the helm, I figured that if any new conference had a chance to get a toehold at this late stage of the game, it would be this one. Here's an inside look at what went down February 19-21 at Domainer Mardi Gras:

Some familiar faces there! I must admit, I underestimated the gathering. Next year, it'll be on my calendar (if the economy survives, that is).

The show was truly amazing...the Parked.com balcony parties (every night) were VIP all the way, Sig must have spent at least 10k on beads, the boxes just kept coming one right after another, I lost count of how many boobs we saw lol...

Ron Jackson gave a very entertaining speech during a delicious luncheon at the hotel & we all had a blast hanging out with everyone in the industry. Sig & Donny along with girls from Parked were a blast. Very well done show with some nice content too, 5 stars!
(For the Domainer Mardi Gras & the DNJournal feature article) The pictures are nice too! Who is that I see in there?

Don't miss it next year, from what I hear they are going to do it even BIGGER & BETTER! (if that is even possible?)

I'll be posting some pics of my own soon & I know the guy's at parked.com got alot too.

Duke, it was very nice to meet you and your wife at the boil, or was it the hotel lobby, it is hard to remember. Regardless, a great time was had by all.
I am getting into shape for next year's DMG 2010 by building up my bead throwing muscles and my tolerance to alcohol(to hang with Donny and the "parked gang")

Thank you, I need that bro - the big 3 0 is right around the corner! But the sushi & green tea definitely help I think, along with the young chicks! Plus, domaining is just such hard work hahaha
