right, so the topic being: "is mobi dead"

if were talking monetary value.. dead = zero.

Im still in my underwear, which does make it slightly awkward to walk to the mailbox to retrieve my $1,900 check for a couple mobee names i sold from hand regging a bit ago...

Forum.mobi is currently on Sedo auction.
The bid is 6,950 $ and 5 days to go.
Who did say that MOBI is dead?!

The fanatics will go down the ship.

Mobi reminds me of Bre-X in so many ways.

Mobi is a niche... thus will never reach the heights of .com, but not dead.

Doesn't help that most modern phones can view the web as its meant to be tho...

I'll start buying .mobi's when a couple of cellphone makers agree to put a .mobi button on the handset.

You have to hand it to Pinky and his crew, they did a great job of selling the ext. And of course to have RS drop 200k for Flowers out of the blue really shook things up. This could have been a sustainable force and reached well past its bubble peaks to achieve a sustainable plateau if only HQ hadn't left the ground troops with no air support. No .mobi button = no .mobi mindshare.

Had Rick dropped out just shy of 200k and let the flowers.com people get the domain it would of been much better for mobi.

Yes it does - in fact why not let me take them off your hands for reg fee, plus say, 20% for your time

I'd rather go get the pliers and rip my eyelashes out, one at a time, then when done with them. go and find the sharpest knife in the house and give myself a vasectomy .. (Ouch!)

EDIT: I found the pliers but they don't seem to be up to the job! And the sharpest knife I could find was totally blunt!

.Mobi is doing fine, the mobile web is doing fine, which is why more important figures are starting promote their mobile brand awareness using a .Mobi, why else would they bother?.Mobi is a brand & branding takes time.I still think theirs a great future for the domain.

Like to share a few figures with us? (And I don't mean a list of companies using them)
