Every TLD is dead, no doubt about it. But a premium TLD is a premium TLD and it will probably always be so.
Now whether the rest floats or not I haven't a clue. All the junk .mobis seem to be more junk than the junk .nets. And don't even mention my .name. As for .me I think I have said .enough.
Still Alive And Well! I get a lot of traffic from the few hunderd I own. And registration is now cheaper as we all know. Plus you can park on mobil pages now.
One I have in particular is PostTimes.mobi that gets some decent traffic which we point to megacheaperdomains.com
You can't go wrong holding on to good .mobi's for the 14 bucks a year.
Please vote Republican in 2012, America can not sustain another 4 years
of Liberal policies that are fiscally and socially destroying the country..
For the record. I have a Blackberry Curve and I am not impressed with the rendering of standard web pages at all.
The .mobi layout would be very refreshing.
It seems that every extension makes money. People were skeptical about .info, and they're making major sales. I can't see why a mobile devise extension shouldn't.

people just love making definite (and extreme) statements... makes them feel powerful.
try it once.. (choose 1 from the lines below):
.mobi SUCKS!
.mobi is dead!
.COM is awesome (and .mobi is not)
.mobi WILL NOT rule the world... i hope all of its investors DIE just like the TLD!
There is no need for <fill in the blank>!

MOBI is Dead
but the mobi mafia is alive and kicking.
As a matter of fact, mjnels is an enforcer who is responsible for censuring what people say about mobis and as a moderator on the mobi forum DELETES offending posts DAILY!
It's a sad day for the First Amendment
when the mobi mafia is in town
yes, the first amendment of being extremely unfunny on a privately owned .mobi forum that isnt even based in the United States... good one.
go call the ACLU......
you must have liked that forum though, because you came back like 5 times after being banned.![]()
MOBI MAFIA strikes back
There was a parallel discussion on a similar mobi topic at NamePros for the last week. Today I learned that myself and a few more people got BANNED by the MOBI MAFIA for simply expressing our opinions.
Here's the message:
NamePros Messageyou do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
- Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
- If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I'm sure you simply said you don't think it will last right? They ban for a reason... and stating an opinion is not one of them, so I would imagine you probably bashed someone/something to get banned.
Nope. I didn't bashed someone/something to get banned. I simply displayed the statistics of my mobi portfolio. In their world it is verboten.
NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO KNOW THAT THERE IS ZERO TRAFFIC IN THE MOBI WORLD!
You are well out of it.
Namepros encourages the pointless speculation of worthless classes of domains.
Yours, Rubber Duck
