Unhappy Your October GreatDomains auction 'Lowdown' post.

Hello Ron,

Earlier today, I noticed that you've reviewed the recent DNForum and NamePros threads regarding the October GreatDomains auction, Sedo's site crashing etc.

In your recent 'Lowdown' post, you reference 3 domains that received bids:

"Ms. Del Carpini provided us with some examples of auctions that received bids in the last five minutes and remained open for additional bidding as the system is designed to allow them to do: Delusional.com, Casinos.de and XAI.com."

http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/low...s/20091023.htm

I personally wasn't able to access the Sedo or GreatDomains sites for the last 4 minutes before auction end.

Please reference my GreatDomains auction Results:

Heated.com
Winning Bid: $1,500
Last Bid Placed: Oct/22/09 11:53 AM EST
Bidding History*-*Sedo.co.uk

Galoshes.com
Winning Bid: $5,600
Last Bid Placed: Oct/22/09 05:55 PM CEST (11:55 AM EST)
Bidding History*-*Sedo.com

Argument.com
Winning Bid: $5,301
Last Bid Placed: Oct/22/09 11:52 AM EST
Bidding History*-*Sedo.com

SoftMusic.com
Winning Bid: $2,210
Last Bid Placed: Oct/22/09 05:44 PM CEST (11:54 AM EST)
Bidding History*-*Sedo.co.uk

Additionally, I had three Sedo brokered auctions that took
place at the exact same time (same end time):

Xplosive.com
Winning Bid: $2,050
Last Bid Placed: Oct/22/09 05:56 PM CEST (11:56 AM EST)
Bidding History*-*Sedo.co.uk

SunnyShore.com
Winning Bid: $80
Last Bid Placed: Oct/22/09 05:48 PM CEST (11:48 AM EST)
Bidding History*-*Sedo.co.uk

PureTitanium.com
Winning Bid: $80
Last Bid Placed: Oct/22/09 03:25 PM CEST (9:25 AM EST)
Bidding History*-*Sedo.co.uk

Please note that none of my auctions received bids after 11:56 AM EST!

Can you please put me in contact with Ms. Del Carpini with Sedo so that we can get down to the bottom of this matter?

Your assistance would be most appreciated.

Kindest of Regards,

Craig

Hello JP,

As of Friday, my Sedo rep. said that Sedo will not hold it against me if I decide not to honor the winning bid prices however, I got the feeling that Sedo isn't going to void the auctions and that the buyers can still take legal action if they wish to do so.

Also, one more thing Ron,

Your 'Lowdown' post references Casinos.de however, please correct me if I am wrong but I don't recall ever seeing this domain in the October GreatDomains list.

Maybe it was a brokered auction on the side?

And if so, Sedo shouldn't be referencing it in their GreatDomains explanation.

If I was in your shoes, I wouldn't honor any of the winning prices and auction the domains elsewhere.

damn, I would of loved to make a bid on delusional.com

On the other hand, if Sedo/Great Domains doesn't take responsibility for their mistakes/problems, I am sure they will lose a lot of business and I really can't see that happening.

I am sure they will make things right...

Oh and btw, I am still waiting about a week now to get transfer instructions from Sedo on a domain I sold. The support is horrible.

Hello DNForum,

I must say that Ron Jackson is a True Gentleman!

He has addressed my concerns about his 'Lowdown' post and was simply relaying the answers Sedo provided.

Thank you for your guidance my friend!
