FUZU.COM is for sale! A superb CVCV/LLLL.COM suitable for a Web 2.0 startup and more!
FUZU.COM is a premium, highly brandable four-letter domain name. It is short, easily pronounceable, highly memorable and suitable for a wide range of purposes.
In Japanese, FUZU means ‘an attached map or plan’. In English, FUZU is a bold, friendly and dynamic name, recalling words such as ‘fuze’, ‘fusion’ and ‘you’. FUZU.COM is particularly useful for projects that could use these ideas in their branding.
I had a Web 2.0 startup planned for this domain but have moved on to other projects.
FUZU.COM has been pushed to auction at Sedo with an opening bid of $3,000.
Thanks for your offer, mfrank! Just for the sake of clarity, was that offer $200 or $2000? As stated in my original post, I have an offer of $1550 at NamePros (I also have one at $1500), so $200 would be at the low end of what I've been offered so far.

Sorry haven't read it carefully. My offer was $200 .
There's been a steady stream of offers since I last posted. I'm taking offers above $2000 now.
FUZU could also be a great name for an energy drink, or a restaurant, or a truck, or a technology company. Or anything where the idea of 'fusion' might apply. It's really versatile, I think.

The highest offer so far (as of 2 June 2008) is $2250. I'll also consider offers above $1300at Sedo (push to auction).
On a US-keyboard it looks to me like a typo of Fusu.com, the domain stock exchange.
Phonetic it is in german also very similar ....
it is definatly a nice name but a typo of a brand in my eyes.
The presence of Tobias Ratschiller (of Fusu a.s.) in this thread is anything but "friendly" and is a blatant attempt to intimidate other potential buyers and me into selling this domain for below what I believe its market value to be. Tobias communicated to me yesterday this threat (after I'd already indicated another bidder had already offered $2,200, I must add): "I'll raise my offer to $2,200, but I will advise with reference to our trademark on DNF if not accepted", and it is unfortunate that he has seen fit to carry it out.
I'd also counter that the view of Freddy@EuroDNS is coloured by the fact that EuroDNS is a business partner of Fusu. I offer some straight facts rather than opinion in return: FUZU.COM was first registered on 1999-06-30 whereas FUSU.COM was only registered on 2001-12-23. FUZU is also the name of a nutritional supplement, an Australian rock band, and is a Japanese word. There no shortage of evidence that FUZU is a strong name in its own right.
As I've said in a previous communication to Tobias: if he or Fusu a.s. (or EuroDNS, it seems) believe they have any claim on the name 'FUZU' or 'FUZU.COM' that they should pursue whatever course of action they think is appropriate. I'd welcome it. But I will not be blackmailed into giving this domain up.
I'm also perfectly happy for any bidder for this domain to withdraw their offer if they no longer feel confident in this transaction.
As pointed out to Ben before, this is not threat, or we would not be bidding. The fact that there is a trademark is just something that bidders should be aware of.
You will not be bidding yourself if you have a way to snap the name for free.
Fuzu is NOT Fusu, and while the new owner don't use the name for a domain name service your trademark don't help you.
So it's clever to continue bidding and see if you can win this auction in a friendly way.
Fuzu is a very nice brandable name that may works for a lot of products and services, the kind of name that can be sold $25K to an end user (ClassyDomains.com)

Hi, I agree that the early registration date might give you some protection. Good luck with the auction.

Do you see it largely advertised everywhere?
You do not need to advertise in the large way to have a brand, Fusu is known and used in our community. I agree that they are not big for the moment. But hopefully they will be.
Offer of $3,000 received. I'll be putting a BIN price up this weekend, but am still open to any and all offers! (I already have the BIN in mind -- if you make an offer at or near that price I'll sell it to you before the BIN goes public.)

HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA @ you.
Thank you for letting us know FUSU is something to avoid.
Every time I go to buy clothing I get confused with FUBU and FUSU.
I hope you are aware "there is a trademark".
