Yes it is true. You are better off adding in content rather than a description tag. I just feel that it's more work for me to add it in. And at the very end, it will make people put more time adding descriptions and keywords when they can spend that time adding in more useful content on the landing pages and getting much better results.

Keywords are completely useless these days, and can even get your site de-indexed from search engines if you use them incorrectly.

Meta description is somewhat useful, although very little. I'd say - stick to the content.

To answer the feed question, we have a bunch of feeds from smaller ad providers.
