I m not telling u they are trade mark but might be as they are very big corporation for affiliates.

but i m not sure yet how do we find out that the name what we reged is trademark or not.

My brother has applied for asia.asia and I don't see that name in the list. Does it mean that he will get asia.asia domain?

You will see asia.asia is Icann reserved name.

I think there are ppl on this forum that have tried to preregister 10 times that amount but are keeping mum until the 26th

Yes, I think there are people who might have applied for many thousands of domains and they are big players.

there is never an easy way with a landrush. I am still not sure the .asia process was thought through. As there is an few weeks to preregister I am sure there are companies out there that have enough time to prereg ALL of the premium domains ( say for instance a company related to snap

) and then just sit back and wait for auction time, then they simply outbid everyone. At least last time joe blow had a chance of regging a few names??

Yeah after reading up on .asia newswires, I see that another domain that I registered has been registered by a bunch of people. This domain wasn't on the list above. That's 2 domains that I have to battle for now...

I have about 500 domains at the auction. I may have to take annual leave for these auctions.

Be careful. I have been checking at

http://whois.asia/

and many generic names are being reserved for government , community etc...

They even reserved SHOES.asia for government!!!

how do you know if your application was successful or not. I applied for about 30 on domainmonster.com but have no idea if I got any of them it just says 'pending'. is there any way to check if the names you applied for are going to auction? I'm pretty sure dot asia will be huge as the population base is pretty intense. Like 2/3 of the worlds population live in asia

No, man. I think I will only get 20 domains which I mentioned and it is around 3 % success rate. But also need to wait for the confirmation from them.

I didn't see anybody post http://dotasia.org/info/DotAsia-Doma...2008-02-27.txt it a list of the already reserved names. I saw a couple domains in this thread that are on the list.
