DNF$: 708 | Where to complain about Eurodns .asia auctions? Hi,
I've lost 2 .asia domain names in French (femme.asia & fille.asia, at $20) because the Eurodns bidding system was not working. My brother-in-law had the same problem the day before. I wrote to the support many hours before the auction was supposed to end, but as always with Eurodns, no answer. I tried to ask the same question twice more, but of course, nothing. I've been a Eurodns customer for several years and I can not remember the last time they answered a question of mine. So I'm not surprised nor disappointed, as Eurodns is by far the worst registrar I know. But I would like to complain for the principle, and I hope that the auction can start again. Does anybody know where to complain at dotasia about that and if it's worth doing it?
thanks in advance
david

Do you think they are going to start an auction again? It is like asking eBay to restart an auction because you were having technical problems bidding on an auction.
You mentioned you were a customer of EuroDNS for several years and they have not answered email inquiries before. You are still with them because
I do not know where to complain about them except on the forum here; however, it sounds to me you need to find another registrar and move your names out and move on from the auctions as I doubt you will see the auction restart again for you. |

Country: | hi there,
all names everyone of you have in the auction can be accessed over the Registrar Interface or the pool interface, you should have received an email from the Registry if you got not an email from the registry for which reason ever.
so there is always a backup. |

Anyway, thanks for your answer regarding the low probability of having the auction rescheduled. But I would like to complain, at least for the principle. The people at dotasia that have chosen Eurodns for the auction process should know that they don't have the slightest consideration for their customers. It's not my opinion, it's just a fact. I have also opinions on Eurodns as a whole, but I keep them for myself, as I don't have enough info to be sure about what I think. And in any case, I don't mind. If those people can look themselves at the mirror when they wake up, that's ok. Everybody conducts its business how he/she wants. But I suffered a prejudice because of their bad practise, so I think that it's normal to complain. Quote:

would you be so kind as to give a contact where to complain about the failed auctions? As I said, I wrote to Eurodns support but, the only answers where
Your ticket number is MXY-70683-997.
Your ticket number is DHL-75426-854.
I think that my message was courteous & important enough to deserve at least an answer. If you are interested in quality management, you should know that it's very common from Eurodns support not to answer the messages.

so there is always a backup. | I had 10 names that were supposed to go to auction. I received only one email stating that i should expect another email. and you know what? i havent received any email that explains how to access the auction.
I live in Japan. isnt Japan a part of asia!??!!? why was a few of my names already won by someone from DENMARK!!?!?! what the hell!?!?
.asia has not been offering names to those who obviously live in asia. they are giving .asia names to people in Europe. so what is the purpose of .asia!?
mobile[dot]asia taken by Ireland
free[dot]asia taken by Denmark
and confused about the following:
what does " SR2B" mean?
(secret1).asia SR2B 5/21/08 0:03 5/28/08 22:00
(secret2).asia SR2B 07/02/08 0:00 07/09/08 0:00
(secret3).asia LANDRUSH 6/16/08 0:00 6/23/08 0:00
did it start without me? or will it begin again!?!?!?
i still receive NO email, access or password to get into pool auction for the above 3 names.
I havent been reimbursed either...
what the hell!?

what the hell!? | hi MobileDesigner,
did you applied for landrush or sunrise?
in case you applied for landrush, the other applicatant maybe was a sunrise applicant, so it even did not went into a landrush auction.
but the auction house (pool) have not received for the moment the money from the winning registrar.
in case they do not get the money they go to the next winning person. (maybe there was only 1 bidder in sunrise)
if none of the sunrise bidder pays the lanrush auction starts.
Thats how I understood the rules.
if you want to be reimburst and reject the chance to get the names (even a small chance), then PM me and I will check with the billing department to reimburse you. |

Country: | This .asia auction thing is a complete farce. After repeated emails to my registry, asiaregistry.com, they replied to the effect that the domain in question and auction thereof has been misplaced. They offered me a credit but I told them to refund my card, and then they sent me back a form to fill in and sign.
This shady practice needs to be exposed. Who's running the bloody .asia auction show? Too many intermediaries, and lack of pooled databases. Useless. |
