If I'm not mistaken, Anatoly said a while back that he sold champagne.me to a guy in Italy for 8k.
Ordersomething is right. And it was not $8k, it was 8k Euros. (about $12k )
Here is that thread

I have get quite a few offers on some of mine dot .me's with $65000 being the highest so fare for lasvegas.me - but i am holding most of them to i get a super offer or i will continue building sites with them.
sedo has also sold some .me.
Plus i have friend thats has sold many, he just sold a package of 14 country/ city .me's for 50k to a firm in Europe
Money Domains,
Congratulations on the offers.
My offers are mostly from domainers, so not that high.
I have decided to test the waters with dot ME. I have just sent 4 dot me domains to sedo auction. 2 are countries. 1 is a top 5 domain sale this year. The other was a 30,000 dot net sale. These domains (in other extensions have combined for over $1,000,000 in sales).
I may be stupid to send them to auction this soon after the launch of the extension, but I like to take a risk. The only reason I bought .me was to get domains that were unavailable in other extensions, Hopefully flip them for a profit and use that profit to invest in dot com.
I hope dot me takes off. I like the extension and personally feel is more attractive to end users than some others. I am also glad to hear others are doing well with it.
For now, I will see what a million dollars worth of domain sales translates to dot me.
Worst case senario-The auction is a bust and I will have turned 4 dot me's into 30 dot coms and will know better than to chase new extensions.
Best case scenario - I pay off my mortgage. (Of course, leaving more money each month for domains!)
All of you guys who tout the value of .ME with such fervor - I'd like your genuine appraisal on these and if you'd put your money where your mouth is....
cotedivoire.me
confectionery.me
Except for a few handful keywords, .ME will go the .Mobi way.
Those who think that .ME will cause .Com owners to lose sleep should pay a visit to Montenegro for a well deserved vacation.
