What is worse, .tel or .me?

What is wrong with .me??? It's a great extension for personal websites. Far better than .tel since we already have .mobi and don't need another extension geared towards the mobile community.

Well, I compared the far worst - .tel - to .me to point out how the .me Registry - based in Montenegro (care to point it on the map for me, Don?) - held onto generic domains and a very nice hack, Mini Me. Apparently, they want $100 billion dollars.

As a ccTLD .me is no worse than .cc or .gs

If I had to pick between the two I'd go with .me, at least you can build a website or page for it and get them in search engines. With a bunch of .tel, all you can do is put contact info on them and wait for buyers. Haven't seen .tel get any traction yet, never see one in my everyday life.

I don't own either extension however, I would also pick .me over .tel for the reasons stated above.

i only have 2 .me domains, but they continue to have good, high sales and the right ones are sought after.
.me is highly brandable, no question

some .me domains esp if it is one word Verb domains e.g. Buy.me , sell.me etc...

.tel is not for websites and just as online visiting cards.

I can't think of one reason why we would need any of these TLDs.

But looking at how popular they are right now, it seems that there are more .me websites. I have not seen one website under .tel, or any .tel domain being advertised for that matter.

.Me, on the other hand, has been used a few times every now and then. Latest example: Universal's Despicable.me.

After all, .tel appears to be worse, although none of them is a good TLD, in my opinion.
