My experience is the other way around i was just going to pull out of a snapnames auction at $249 but though i will give it one more go,anyhow i won at $284 and sold the domain on sedo 3 days later at 4250 euros just a couple of weeks back, the other bidder must of been pig sick and i was wondering if it's happened to any of you guys, touchwood it's not happened to me yet but no doubt it will sometime.
Yes.
Domain A, I offered to buy for 5600. I said wow, too high.
Domain A, sells for 28000 less than 6 months later at sedo.
Domain A, I lost allot of money and realize I am dumber than a brick for missing that opportunity.
Do you mean you pulled out and in the same auction it sold for a lot more? Hell yes, because it goes beyond my budget. I saw one, my budget was $200 (reasonable drop catch auction) and it went for over $5000 - the sad part is that it wasn't an end user and it is just parked (with poorly optimized keywords - like they don't care). Another time I dropped out (similar budget) and it went for over $1100.
Or- you see it cheap (TDNAM $5 clearance) and then a month later see it sell for $2500? I don't think so but when I decide not to get a domain I tend to forget about it - I guess it's a good way to avoid the "Shoulda-coulda-woulda" syndrome.![]()
