I wouldn't use Paypal for anything in the xxx or higher range, it's way too easy for the seller (If they have no feedback or trade rating) to do a chargeback.

There is no UNDO (CTRL-Z) on domain transfers!

I use sedo. They paypal you for payment under $10,000 but the whole process would take at least 5 days & there is a commission. Once a buyer who was an American setting a new company contacted me. I talked with him. But I felt more comfortable going through sedo.

Do paypal has a time limit on the chargeback?

Ecop.com services are helpful to domainers. Their site has no information about the background of the site operator or contact phone / address. DNForum have a member verification program. Should we consider a certification program on the vendors or tools?

You should never push the domain first especially if you don't have a clue who they are. If you need the cash right away tell him that you will cover the fees and have him do a bank wire, Western Union or even Moneygram. These are all instant payment methods and you have protection on them so he can't charge back later.

The problem is even if some one pay with paypal, they may be using a stolen paypal account etc..

Unless you know the buyer though some forum like DNF - it is best to use escrow services.

    paypal is risky for seller.

With you having a single itrader I would probably ask you to push the domain first especially if using PayPal. However, if the seller (you) were uncomfortable with it I would ask that we use a different method such as Escrow or something that protects the buyer (myself). Ultimately what you choose to do is your own choice and should be made on factors that surround the buyer. Who are they? Do they have a reputation that supports them as a legit buyer? Whats the chances of them not paying you at all? Whats the chances of them doing a chargeback?

I have personally bought from Mrs Jello but have never sold them a domain so would I push a xxxx domain to them before receiving payment even though they have several itraders? No I would not. While I would push a domain to say John, Acro, Adam, James, or many others that I have done business with before receiving payment. But that doesn't mean that many other members here wouldn't do it. Its a personal choice that you must make alone.

I would think that anyone who's been a member on this Forum since March 2007 would know the answer to this rather simple question.

Maybe he can pay you with the revenue he withheld from Domainspa clients.

The general consensus is correct - NEVER push a domain before you have the $$$.

Considering the buyer, I would do Escrow even if it was lower than that - already the buyer has a red flag for a possible scam, what's to say they might not try another. Only if the domain is worth losing (as in getting paid $0) should the OP use Paypal.
