Smile can anyone offer some SERIOUS opion in here ??

    G'day all,

I have now had enough of the table tennis banter.

I originally enetred this thread seeking some considered opinions on 3D names and essentially have received a barrage od criticism and useless banter.

This will be my last try - not only in this thread but also in other forums in here I have asked the following, and nobody, no-one at all has responded with any sensibility or useful comment.

Maybe the question is sodumb that it is being ignored - or is it because no-one has a considered opinion?

I suppose it is a multi faceted question - one for the google experts.

How will Google crawlers treat the numeral 3 in retrieving searches where the searcher has used "3Dxxx" - if I am not wrong, which I am all too often, currently numerals are poo poo -ed by Google.

The second part is the Bookends, e.g. 3dword3d, given a search "3d word" by the searcher will 3dword3d receive the same credence by the crawler given that the word 3d is repeated in the domain name?

There - short and sweet. Hopefully someone has a sensible opinion if not necessarily exact answers.

    cheers, Mike

In my above responses to your responses if I have offended I apologise however I do not suffer fools lightly - nothing personal

I think you are better of asking this question at some SEO forum, there you should find the right experts to answer this question.

Not sure who told you numerals are poo poo'd by Google because they didn't know what they were talking about and you can always just simply search Google. As an example, a search on 3d television http://www.google.com/search?q=3d+te...R1GGGL_en&sa=2

All kinds of sites with 3d in the domain name.

    How about 3d movies - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&s...=&oq=&gs_rfai=

4 sites on page 1 Google with 3d in the domain.

nah, in the case of 3d, I actually think the numeral is better because that's how most people type it in. I actually don't ever recall people typing it out like: three d. Google and the other search engines care about trying to serve up the most relevant result for any given search and they know the difference between numerals and letters. So in this case, 3d would make sense.
