I regged it because of the Adword exact search numbers:
"keyboards midi" : 201,000 vs. "midi keyboard" 60,000
From your experience: if an out of order keyword combination
has a high search volume, does the domain have much SEO value?
I know that likely sounds like a stupid question -
but the domain development area is pretty new to me.
Thank you

Was it too stupid to answer?![]()
Nope, not stupid. You can mix the order of keywords and get good ranking too on the reverse.
Also, if you put:
~
in front of the keyword, you can see what Google considers to be related keywords for that word.
But for type in traffic, it depends. Mostly might confuse people for type in. For developed sites: I can see how it would be confusing as well.
But for SEO, it's fine.
Keywords context out of necessarily don't offer results expected. But hurt doesn't it try to.
Yoda wise, years 500 you see Dagobah in, Jedi young.
Thank you, maganerd.
And too, you, Acro.
no
but it shows you that adword "exact" numbers are really screwed and therefore not exact.
i prefer to stay away from backwards or reversed terms as domain names.
the phrase "keyboards midi" represents the lower level of products in the category of "keyboards" and the term "midi keyboards" is one the specific products under that category.
in a search string it would look like this ( keyboards > midi keyboards > wireless keyboards > computer keyboards > etc.)
if you do same search and put the words together (midikeyboards and keyboardsmidi) you'll see the difference.
for seo it's more about content and keywords so you should be ok.
the domain may help with placement and who knows, you may even get some type-ins.

OK, biggedon - thanks for that good advice.
Reverse cowgirl works equally well, as far as I am concerned.
For example:
~auto
See the results, especially the bolded words?
Returns: cars, auto, vehicle, etc. You can also use that for finding alternatives to a taken keyword domain.
