Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!Communigal / Galcomm are based in Israel and damn my luck, Pool used them to grab a domain for me. The domain was captured on the 3rd and since then I have not received a single email from them. I contacted Pool and they said they passed my info onto Galcomm so that they update the WHOIS info. Currently only the DNS is in place. I have sent 2 emails to Galcomm and they only returned 1 return receipt notification. It's ridiculous that Pool uses those useless registrars and we pay Pool in the first place. If Pool don't resolve it I will be ditching the name and will issue a chargeback - **** them!
Hi Theo - If you need the name - contact Moshe at Galcomm (I think he is the owner) moshef@galcomm.com He should be able to help (I think?) Also copy the email to Internic at registrars@internic.com (That usually works for Duke and I) Best of luck - Steve

Thanks Steve, much appreciated.
Contacted Pool & Galcomm, the latter receives my emails (return receipt) and does not respond. I notified Pool that if I don't have a username and password by Friday 12 noon Eastern I shall reverse the charges and cancel my Pool account.
In their response Pool even had the nerve to ask me not to use strong language when reporting an incident - I called Galcomm a "crappy registrar" - I stand by my mild comment and will make sure the word is spread. It's been a week that they hold the domain I've paid for.

It took four months for me to get many of mine from Pool registrars and that was only after I got ICANN to intervene.Originally Posted by stuff

The problem I have is actually getting a username and password for a domain I just acquired via Pool - the registrar is Galcomm. I've acquired about a dozen other names via Pool and the registrar would send me a login info in 3 days max. This is the first time that I don't have any such info in over a week, especially since Galcomm reads my emails and ignores them.
Galcomm is just about the worst registrar I have used (funny enough, through NW not pool, so I guess they switched???).
I have requested repeatedly to be sent my passwords on 3 domains i have won there, and now, 6 months later, nothing...

Great! I think that those registrars need to be identified by name.

Galcomm is extremely difficult to transfer from.
If these difficult registrars had to depend on my everyday business.
They would already be out of business.
The only reason we all deal with them is because of their relationships with
Pool, Enom, NW and Snap.
Too bad we can not hold the original firm we dealt with (Pool, etc) accountable.

Duke, I managed to get 2 domains away from Vedacore in 2 weeks. I am currently dealing with RGNames - got a response from them where they 're apologizing for the 1st denial (domain was not locked) and waiting to see if the 2nd transfer goes through.
No updates from Galcomm / Communigal - no updates to my ticket from the (cess)Pool. this is day 11. They have less than 24 hours before I hit them back with the charges.
If anyone ever hears from galcomm, please let me know...
PSI Japan... lol
that reminds me og the good old times I have posted about so many times...
I used all sorts of translating sources to get them to understand that I own the domain.
Finally, they reaqlized it, and they send me, guess to where!???
They had a US based operation!!!!
So, I said , 'finally!!!!" (verbatim part of my post to a US address of PSI).
The reply?
In Japanese of course.
My reply?
In Greek of course.

Good one.
Maybe they should use Esperaranto.
We have moved dozens of domains out of Galcomm. Each time it is a chore and takes several emails - and probally 2 transfer attempts before they go. We usually get a response from Moshe at Galcomm and he helps unlock domains that were never locked or what ever, but they do move eventually. I would write them with the Internic email address copied as they may help?? We get good responses from Taryn at POOL on these types of matters as well. He can be reached at taryn@pool.com - Sorry you guys are having so much trouble with these foreign registrars. Wish Icann would clamp down on them in some fashion - SteveOriginally Posted by seeker
