Do you approve these on your Wordpress Blog?

I am getting a lot of 'comments' that don't really appear and are links to other websites that take excerpts from my posts and auto post them on their website with a link back to my website. Should I be approving these? They look like automated websites as they just have tons of adsense and other advertisements and the articles from my site are like in the middle as as well as the link to my site.

    Thanks,
    -Mike C.

Scrapers? No. I'd personally block the IP's they come from.

Yeah scrapers should be blocked. They do this not only as a form of scraping content but also to gain backlinks through trackbacks. A technique spammers also use.

thanks guys, but what do I do now that they have stole my content? enjoy the back links or is there something I should do, ie. report them / request to have it taken down? I've never had this happen on any of my other wordpress themes so it is pretty weird.

    Thanks again,
    -Mike C.

Don't do anything about it, just mark it as spam. They can't hurt your site by doing it plus they have a link back to the post they scraped. Mind you some of my more older higher ranked blogs get over 500 spam posts a day and dozens of scrapers a day nab some of it ect. so don't worry about it I say Mike

Dyrrrr. You're right. It's 2:30am my time. I am out of it. I am thinking of spam comments in general. Nevermind!

Yeah spam comments are easy to deal with, you linked to decent plugins so if Mike doesn't use those he should at least look at them. But trackbacks are a pain in the ass if you get a bunch.
