Country: | Dynadot API Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Dyandot API for dropcatching domains? I don't want to put over $300 into my account to access and use the API if its not good for dropcatching. Any experience good/bad then please let me know. The software will be my own. I'm a .net developer and work with API's all the time so its not a problem. I was just wondering if the API can compete with the big boys Pool, Godaddy backorders etc?

I think I will give it a miss for now. When i do eventually have the required funds in Dynadot from my usual domain activities, i'll at least test it out then for a while.

Please also see this, Quotas - For COM/NET domains, you can only check or register the same domain 10 times every 100 seconds. http://www.dynadot.com/domain/api.html Remember, there will also be lots of reg errors during its busy time. ONLY A LITTLE BETTER THAN HAND REG!!!

Country: | That's it. Registrars have direct access to the registry, an API does not grant you direct access since you have the registrar as a go-between (+ back and forth communication).
