eNom Instant Reseller @$249: opinions, experiences, ideas & thoughts plz!

eNom Instant Reseller @$249: opinions, experiences, ideas & thoughts plz!

This is being offered to me currently as an eNom reseller, "a fully brandable storefront solution". How does it compare value-wise with Wild Domains and other reseller out-of-the-box solutions? Also, is this really a repackaging of the (formerly $99/year) eNom PDQ? I have been a domainer since 1999 and an eNom reseller pretty much from the get-go, and used the API when it became available, but was never a real fan or user of the PDQ. As I am redefining my goals at this point of time, holding a job elsewhere, and my API expert partner having accepted an assignment in the UK, I thought I 'd explore a cookie cutter solution. Otherwise stated, I am hoping the the "new eNom" has delivered its reseller gem! lol

Thanks in advance for your help!

It's easy to use; eNom is doing the back end work for Fabulous as it is. However, you are bound to the slim pickens earnings that your base cost allows. If you have a customer base that's willing to pay well above the annual cost of the domain, then divide the $249 by that number to see when you will be breaking even.

excellent point. To calculate the break even point I need to know if there are any transaction fees per sale above and beyond my base cost just like registry rocket. None are stated in the online promo materials, so I am thinking $249 paid up front covers the accounting and cc processing fees?

No transaction fees as far as I know. You specify your pricing based on what the PDQ charges. Example: base cost is $9.00 /year for .com - you set it at $9.01 if you like. Or higher, to make some profit
