How to get Stats on large site networks?

Does anyone know a good analytics package for multiple sites? I know it is possible to use Google Analytics but I am skeptical that if my sites are interlinked using this would give my site network away to Google.

    Check out StatCounter.com

I like Google Analytics however it does not have real-time stats

I tried statcounter.com and my memory is that, much to my surprise they could not provide reporting beyond the current month. I did not think this made any sense but that is what I learned. Also, they do not have an conversion reporting or drill down capability on a particular website. However, at this point I would be happy with some basic traffic stats.
