i was just reading this post- why is it that there are "bad letters" you should avoid- yet, many of the names with very nice sale prices here, contain some of those bad letters?
in fact alot of words i see selling well contain letters from the "bad group"- so whats with the bad letter thing?

Bad letters are a myth.. Its all down to what the end user wants. I have sold LLLL with the so called bad letters and have received $x,xxx for them. At this moment in time everyone is buying what is left of LLLL just look at the backorders not one of them is being left behind.
ok- thanks for the feedback- i was wondering about that- i have seen many sold nice and high- with these letters, yet the leters made sense- so it didnt make sense to say they were bad
thanks![]()

There are HIGH-quality combinations and LOW-quality combinations of LLLL. High-quality combinations, more often, exclude certain letters, which people refer to as "bad letters."
High-quality combinations may have one or more of the following attributes: A) Matches many different acronyms for various things (a google search can be a good indicator of how the acronym is used and how popular it may be), B) Has traffic, C) is a 4-letter word, D) is pronouncable (a high-demand attribute), E) is sequential (abcd.com, wxyz.com), 6) has repeating letters (aaac.com, ddee.com, tiii.com, etc.), 7) has one or more other versions registered (.net, .org, .co.uk, etc.)
The LOW-quality combinations are what is left. Not to say they are not worth getting. But the HIGH-quality combinations are more likely to be sold to end users or domain investors, and for higher prices.
If you do a little research, you'll find a large percentage of the LLLL.coms that aren't registered have two or more of the following: j, l, q, u, v, x, y, z.

ok- that is great information- let me ask this
i have UWRK.COM-
now, i read "u work"
so i am thinking you can pronounce it- but, it is not uwork- so is it considered pronouncable?

MFGR might be an acronym for Manufacturer - but doesn't mean it is pronounceable. Examples of pronounceable combinations would be something like jobo.com, seeb.com, moto.com, kest.com, varp.com, zapo.com, etc. The most desirable pronounceable combinations should be easy to spell, based on the verbal alone. When you get to variations like fiiv.com (pronouncing it like five), or dinr.com (pronouncing it like dinner or diner), then you start losing most of the value in it, as a "pronounceable" name. Your suggestion of UWRK for "U work," or "you work," is an even-further stretch.
