How you know is 'he'?![]()
Why??, do you know something we don't ?...
Don't think so. I'm just another halvarez 'victim'. Eventually.![]()
I have been on a few "who is halvarez" thread several times in the past.
I think I remember someone told he is Portuguese. And it's a real person, or at least representing a real company.
He should get Loser.info listed here on DNF![]()
I have been in many auctions with halvarez. I think his strategy is to avoid bidding wars in order to buy as many names as possible. It seems that there are times when he really wants a name and goes after it though.
From what I can tell, halvarez = Hank Alvarez = The Domain Queue = Domainqueue.com
Ah, I've wondered who he was as well. And just a little bit of advice to some of you people using drop catchers...your name being the highest bidder is not important until the end of the auction. The stupidity of how some people bid never ceases to amaze me.
ive seen halvarez bid up on more than one occasion over the years. Thankfully he doesnt bid up much and i walk with a winner. vaxis however has happy fingers on the numpad. He's cost me alot of money in the past. Vaxis tends to overbid often. When i do outbid him I've gone over my projected max bid.
The only name he competed against me was xxbox dot com.
That adds value to it, huh?![]()
In the 50 or so auctions I have been in halvarez is in 99% of them.
I think is eskimo for "bill gates". trying to buy up everything![]()
Has anybody ever thought to start checking WHOIS on the names that halvarez wins? I would expect that to be very telling in terms of who halvarez really is.
I've always beaten halvarez - even at names I don't want LOL
Maybe he's a "rabbit" bidder for Snapnames.
I've rarely seen him bid up.
Did he win any?
halvarez is the $60 king.
I've been reading the thread here and am curious if there is a difference in bidding on a SnapNames drop domain 7 days before an auction closes (or anytime during the redemption/pending delete period) vs. just a few hours before the drop ... if 2 or more people are bidding on the name, it's still going to go to auction regardless.
So, why not bid whenever (earlier the better) so you don't forget and lose out on the name entirely?
Any help would be appreciated ... thanks.
