There are many user names that were used. It's obvious. Here's more very suspicious ones.

Talking

hey, thought of a nice scenario
brady and a few others end up wearing orange jumpsuits and doing hardtime with bubba

oversee goes down and gets broken up

monte gets to buy moniker back. it sold for 65 mill. he gets to buy it back at 20 mill
normal business resumes at moniker

i'll take 1% for my consultancy charge

Folks,

SnapNames technical staff has adjusted the existing system so order and bid histories are available back to August 2004, when auctioning began on the SnapNames system. This is now available by logging in to your SnapNames account.

I couldn't agree more.
I can't do anything with the control panel anymore.
Renewals: problems
Changing whois: problems
Privacy: problems
CC Payments: problems
I can't think of one thing that actually works.
And support is non existent.
I haven't received a response from support in months.
I submit the ticket and after a couple of days I contact Bari.
2 weeks later whois is updated!

Oversee is going down very fast.

i already made my mind up too, im taking my names away from moniker start of next year when some more funds about for the transfers.
LOTS of technical glitches in their dashboard etc. dns prons, privacy whois issues etc etc
even payment problems. what sort of registry screws up when you're trying to pay
ive gone hot and cold on this, mainly as i like bari and monte so much, but sorry. its adios
its been brewing for a while. lots of probs since oversee took over . was perfect before

exactly.

Plus, I am not sure how many lawyers out there truly understand domains, domaining, and cyber law.

I think we need to start another thread or like someone else stated a site and compare notes on user names. I think it's pretty evident that "halvarez" was not the lone fraud user name.

Also this was more targeted than just random bidding. I have access to 2 different companies accounts and for reasons I won't state at the moment why I know it was but it was more targeted rather than random acts.

Finally the auction history is back. Now we can cross-check the data.

I'm now pretty much 100% convinced siner was a fraud bidder.

On the other hand I got some great deals as early back as Dec-2004:

xxxxxxxxxxxx.org $60.00 (snap) Dec-2004

Sold 10,000 EUR (sedo) Aug-2009

Halvarez chased high and low; some names he was after himself, others he simply pumped up the price - apparently by spying on the reserve - and thus generated revenue for his own company. Either way, the proof is in Oversee's hands and we'll have to wait for their next legal move against the man who has cost them millions of dollars.

I said from day one that the BD's of the industry were grossly over paying on drops and now that I look back I think it is possible if they avoided drops they could have saved half their expenses over the last 5 years... the forums cannot be beat. It takes work but its worth it.

The auctions did kill the reseller to reseller end of things.. I've been talking about how all that money was exiting the industry and ending up in non-domainer pockets for years now. Little did I know.. lol

as bulk bidders driving up the prices on auctions of any value do you really think they were paying full price without a discount?

What type of bulk discount, do we know this for sure and is this a fair practice?

They admitted he was giving himself a "credit" I would imagine he was one of a number of entities getting this "credit/discount."

A credit as in, reversing the payment he made when he was a winner. Several times, upset domainers led him on, allowing him to win. Other times, he ostensibly drove up the price, only to pull out once he had apparently peeked at the reserve. That's what happens when you entrust an unethical person with both the chocolate cake and the sharp knife.
