Fatjobbie is real, dear member on my forum. He is smart, that's why we call him "Domain Jew". He likes to bump people, but carefully (with blind bumping you have 50% chance you will see what the maxbid is). And at some point he started be like Halvarez because I teached him how to do it (the trick "add pendingdelete domains after deadline, then attempt to delete them, the ones someone backordered will not be possible to delete and you will be in the auction in a second place")

Who's guitar was it anyway?
My main point was, gee...lets all start our own individual threads regarding snapnames and read nothing at all.
I am full agreement with Denny's comments on this.

I have read some of the post of course. And many of the blogs in addition. Just pointed my finger into something specific different than the scandal. I think snapnames is trying to cover the issue. Because the logic here does not make sense to me.
That guy cant make money wihout snapnames permission. But the company didnt even mention any name as far as i know. Think that, as a company, someone is doing something to you, and you are just sitting and wont mention that you sued that employee..
Ok, i wont talk again about this issue there. You are right in your comment.
Just went through my auction history and it seems that most auctions I was in were won by big spender 'saggydimes'.
That thread is 40 pages long.
How about a deal - I post the answer, then we let this thread fade down the page, close it if ya want. But the guy did make an attempt, and there is no reason to make him the bad guy.
Halverez (Nelson Brady) was the vice president, co-founder and tech guru at Snapnames. He inflated the sale price of domains by shill bidding (he could see proxy bids) to make money for a company he part-owned and to increase it's price when it was sold to Oversee in 2007. He also used his insider status to purchase domains for himself.
(and if I got part of that wrong then my four hours of reading on this was not sufficient, sorry.)
Domain names for sale, most are one word: http://bndn.com
I want all the domains EVER won by halvarez re-auctioned and only people originally in the auctions are allowed to bid.
I'm buying credit, banking, loan, insurance related generics in .com, .net, .org with high search volumes/traffic. Will consider typos too! - PLEASE PM with name, info, & asking price!

I'd also like to know why I have to resort to virtual Black Magic to pull that thread up here... information like that is pretty damned important at this point.
How would he NOT benefit?????
Even in the first example I gave, the company makes more revenue, he works in the company so he makes more money. How does that not benefit him???
He was a shill bidder and also went after some domains to make money off selling and parking them. Understand? And plus, your second and third options are inconsistent to your first option. Because even if he won, he had to pay for the domains... Or the snapnames would pay.. (same here)
Okay here's a thought: everyone wants to see the history of the auctions they were in,
But what if the had to disclose the full list of names that Halvarez made a bid on?
The full list. They don't have to show others who bid against him but just the ones he bid on, plus highlight the ones he won.
Just a thought.
.Buying .ca domains pm with pricing, will reply ..., thx

Sometimes in life we get to see the sordid underbelly of a corrupt business.
The full extent of the corruption in the Oversee/Snapnames business has yet to be exposed - but observed experience of organisations that have gone astray says that the place was rotten to the core.
What we have here is organised, systemic, fraud - emanating from the inner heart of the very systems that drove the Snapnames business model.
No ONE employee, acting alone - no matter how senior, no matter how embedded, no matter how integral to the design & maintenance of the tech operations - could have sustained and concealed a fraud involving thousands of separate auctions & transactions - and millions of dollars - over many years - without discovery, if the organisation, as a whole, was in any way committed to the concept of integrity.
...Rigorous system checks, dual & triple level verification procedures, random process audits, sensitive antennae tuned into market & customer feedback etc etc, would have combined to expose this kind of dishonest dealing within days of an attempt being made.
That didn't happen. For years. These were smart people. With top-class resources available to them. This organisation was apparently deaf and blind. This organisation willfully and arrogantly ignored any and all the signs and sounds of suspicious behaviour. This organisation apparently missed every red flag in the game....
There's only one explanation.
These people at Snapnames were running a scam - from top to bottom.

Oversee should be the defendant.
Check who owns names won by halavrez ... not good.
Is user "admin" a real bidder? Why would anyone allow that username in an auction platform?
All offers good for 72 hours except running auctions

As for who fatjobbie is, I know exactly who he is... anyone willing to spend a little time looking at older whois could piece the puzzle together, took me just a couple days. Greg and him should meet each other and have drinks... or maybe not I believe he may be commanded not to, even coffee is so-so... ok maybe a nice glass of water!
