Rob, is there an indication of the time it would take to process rebates, once Rust Consulting receives them? Also, since they indicated that W9 forms will be needed, why wasn't that provided in one go; now it will involve further communication that'd delay the rebate processes. And finally, Rob, is Kjel still with Snapnames?

I think one could get around that oversight by combining (joining) the two PDF files and having them initialed/notarized prior to mailing.
Also, read what I'd like to call "the halvarez analysis of the year" at http://www.thedomains.com/2009/11/12...r-at-snapnames
Im waiting to hear too if this guy has been charged?
If not ...why? no major company would take a blow like this and not be pressing charges.
its actually more serious when a crime is done on the inside and from a position of trust.

Rob, perhaps you are not at liberty to tell us, but we really want to know if Oversee is to press charges against the individual. The outcome will depend a lot on how Oversee reacts to this mess.
NameNewsletter.com - free lists of available domain names
ZoneFiles.net (beta) - ccTLD and gTLD droplists
Oversee Rob, one very simple question, it only requires a simple 'Yes' or 'No' answer, so I am sure you can answer it.
My question is: 'Have any other employees, of whatever rank and/or position, within Oversee.com or SnapNames been fired, been disciplined, or resigned over this matter?'
As I said a simple 'Yes' or 'No' answer will suffice.

Frank, one other reason for using snap. Great people. The people you work with in any business make life easier and snap has at some of the best.
***FS*** True that! Except for that Nelson*jk* Snapnames wouldn’t be the same without Nelson Brady.
Yeah it wouldn't be the same. You'd save a lot of money.![]()
Has anyone been able to determine if he was also involved with auctions of privately held domains?
Most of what I am seeing and reading involves dropping names?
Have a break from the harsh reality and go read Hank Alvarez's interview at DomainGang. TGIF![]()
Hi Arco,
After all paperwork is in, payments should be delivered in less than two weeks, in most cases. Please allow additional time for special circumstances, international deliveries, etc.
We are only requiring W9’s from a small set of people, so didn’t want to burden the entire process with this. Unfortunately, IRS guidelines require us to obtain this information based on certain thresholds.
Yes, Kjel is still with the company.

Oversee Support
Rob, thanks for the response. I thought W9's are mandatory for any amount over $600.
Hey Rob, did Oversee report this to law enforcement?
What I still don't understand is why Brady didn't participate in any of the "pre-release" auctions. (or did he?) That is what made me believe for years that he was not from inside snapnames.

Hank Alvarez played the game well. He even bumped an auction between dvdrip and I. And that's what Oversee does not count in their rebate: auctions that halvarez kickstarted and which he sustained the competition among other bidders, all while he conveniently pulled out before the reserve was reached. In those auctions where he finished 3rd and below, a lot of the money was lost artificially. Oversee does not consider these auctions null and void, as they should.
I read this not long ago and had a laugh myself. He also answered why he only buys off drops on another blog, his reason, security in knowing he wont have a dispute. For that he paid 200% premium and maybe 300% once you factor in everyone who knows its him. So to him peace of mind is the trade off for bad business practice, getting shilled and screwed over, genius.
