    Hey DTalk

it's more about "letter discrimination", which is being practiced among quite a few domainers.

but i'm just an "equal rights advocate" for ALL letters of the alphabet

What you are saying is that the letter X has the same amount of acronym possibilities as C, and a domain (LLLL) starting with Y has the same chances of selling as the one starting with A. Yes, I'm a racist...

Just to back it up, and show how ridiculous your claim is, I have dug up some data:

    Letter A:

    First Position Sales: $14957.01
    Average: $679.86
    Geometric mean: $203.55
    Median: $159.25
    Sample size: 22

    Letter Q:

    First Position Sales: $1,655.69
    Average: $24.71
    Geometric mean: $16.74
    Median: $17.40
    Sample size: 67

i will say just about anything, if it will make you think...

though i never said any of what you typed

    but i'm glad you responded

here's what i will say and it's a trick question...

since, www.x.com is a "live" website and www.c.com is not, which has more value?

if "c" is premium, what is x ?

    sounds like calculus or algebra

All letters are premium. Just like ABC are premium in US, same as JQX are premium in China. Z is premium in Germany, etc.

Biggedon, the difference is that I'm talking in general, and you are talking about exceptions.

Premium letters are ones that have a higher occurance rate in acronyms of companies online - in other words, the words that consist a company's name have a higher chance of starting with a premium letter rather than a non premium one.

Whoever studied the statistics though(if anybody ever did) did not take into consideration any other languages other than english - therefore you can't really define what is premium and what is not.

    Bingo...!!

...and there are 1.2 billion people in China - only 350 million in the US.

The stats only favour the 'traditional' premium letters because the US/Western economies come online earlier.....The Chinese are now online big-time.

Look to see the J's, Q's, & X's take centre stage, as the Chinese buy up their corporate & personal names and acronyms...

Exactly! However, if we check the amount paid by end-users for llll.com's, the most are paid by people from English speaking countries. China is coming up, and it might completely change in the next years, but it hasn't yet.
