NP has been down for me for two days in Toronto, anyone else?

Still down for me, probably 48 hours now or more....Can't imagine what is taking so long. Oh well, more time at DNF!

It's been going downhill because it is down half the time.

If the forum would have 100% uptime it wouldn't have gone down hill. It is down every single night due to backups, for at least an hour. That alone needs to be fixed, there are plenty of ways to backup MySQL databases without taking them offline and NamePros isn't really that humongous to begin with so I don't understand the difficulty there.

Secondly, it's down at least once a week for unexpected reasons, now it's been down for 2 days, going on a 3rd day soon.

As a community, NamePros is really is a much better place to just hang out. DNF I mainly like for selling/buying bigger domains, as it has a bit more serious people around.

Side Note: Adam, since you are in this thread, how many PMs do I have to write for that old advertising credit before I get a response? At least a response would be appreciated. If you don't respond, I'll just consider you as stealing my advertising credit from nearly 3 years ago. Obviously it's long over due, but you made a promise that it is still valid, I contacted you at least 6 times since for over a year and a half now and no response ever since.

Easy for people to take, not easy to give back. Another reason NamePros is better.

The NamePros servers are being held hostage at SoftLayer. Either we'll have them back up within a couple hours or we will begin migration to a new host.

Any recommendations on dedicated provider?
