    Price price price

Is it wise to set a price for a domain? Or is it better to leave it open for offers? What are some of your selling experiences based on this? What worked and what didn't?

As much as sedo touts it I have seen no improvement personally. I agree with the idea, as I for one won't look at many things without a price (cars for example). It may work for a lower price name, just seeing no evidence of it from here.

Edit: I am referring to sales outside of forums above. When shopping the forums, as a buyer, I do prefer to have numbers, or at least a range of the sellers price.

even if you have a price or give one later, most times "potential buyers" will make a lower offer

i have priced some of my domains that are listed sedo and in every instance, the buyer sent an offer that was lower than stated price.

the only exceptions are when the price was agreed on via the forums, email or phone call, then the buyer submmited their offer to complete the transaction thru sedo.

however, on the forums it's rare that i will post a price
