Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!as I understand it domains dropping at Network Solutions are auctioned exclusively on NameJet. I am assuming then it is pointless to place backorders for the domain at any other services like snap or pool. would that be correct?

thanks CanSpace. thanks sdsinc
the domain already has several backorders so it will be going to auction, this is not for me but a question i am fielding for a non-domainer. he wanted to know if there was any way to increase the odds of winning it, by going outside of namejet. i didnt think there was. but i am not that experienced in drops so i wasnt positive.

You need to make sure the domain is not in pending-delete status (or redemption). You can check here: http://registrar.verisign-grs.com/whois/
Then it's available through Snapnames only and you will have to compete with fellow bidders but you can still try to buy it from the current owner (if reachable).
