recently sold domains.. why low prices

These are domains that were recently sold, listed at dnjournal.com
Why did these domains sell for low $$. Am I wrong? I think some could have sold for $8,000-15,000.
sdcards is searched 246,000 (average) times a month according to adwords. You would think it would sell for much higher. Any insights? Is it because of the market crash.

sdcards.com
$3,112
buypro.com $3,100
onlineprofits.com $3,500
christmasdeals.com $4,188
sportlifestyle.com $2,188
carandsound.com $2,000

what about sdcards? that is a popular search term
Im trying to understand how particular domains sell.
I guess sdcards is minuscule compared to say... camera or freecards

Be positive lad! Those names are great and sold adequately. Next year, everything will be much brighter for domainers.

Without doing any research or knowing about possible traffic I feel those prices were more than fair in fact I feel all 6 were quite a bit over-valued, especially 4 of them.

sdcards.com
$3,112
buypro.com $3,100
onlineprofits.com $3,500
christmasdeals.com $4,188
sportlifestyle.com $2,188
carandsound.com $2,000
the domains did't sell for $$, they sold for $,$$$

as said before, without knowing traffic, i too would say they were good prices.
especially when you don't know the sellers original acquisition price and what his/her profit margin is/was or how high their "liquidation stress level" was.
------
sdcards popular now, but tech changes too fast...how soon will they be replaced?
-----------
buypro, good name but very vague..."buy pro" what?

-----------
onlineprofits, has longevity and lot of potential for marketing sales
this one maybe undersold, imo
------------
christmasdeals, good seasonal domain, but how much will it make during that season? good price
--------------
sportlifestyle , good sale

-------

carandsound, good sale

imo...

SDCards.com and OnlineProfits.com have potential, but the rest of the names aren't even worth $1k each IMO.

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw this.

I have so many devices that DO NOT use SD cards.

Plus, I think most people would search for memory cards if they are not sure what their device would use.

Think sdcards could sell for more within a year. It would be pretty easy to throw up a basic ebay affiliate turnkey type script and list sdcards too.

I have a better understanding now. It never dawned on me that sd cards have a life cycle and will probably be phased out with a newer technology.
You kinda have to step back and look at the whole picture of the domain. how it sounds, present demand, life cycle. to name a few.
When a few of you said the domains were overpriced, that kinda shook my brain a bit.

cheers

SD Cards are being phased out a little in cameras and mobile phones however there is a large increase in the use of micro-SD cards so I still think there would be a great market for this kind of site for the next 3+ years.

Looks like more than reasonable prices for all of them.
