I've heard nothing on Cira changing the residence rule, but they could surprise us. Doubtful though.

CIRA has NOT voiced any intention to change their Canadian presence requirements.
That's not to say they for certain won't change this in the future.... but for now, you gotta be Canadian![]()

The only ones pushing for it (.ca) a are handful of domainers - aka - it's never going to happen.

i don't see it happening with .ca. with .us, maybe. though i base this on almost nothing.
