who do you sell .net domains to

If the person has a .com, even a long named .com would they be interested in a .net?

    HI

Hard to say... but I don't think they would pay much for the .net if they have the .com unless it is a good name.

Most of the time if they own a .net and have a business site on it... and you have the .com for sale you will be more lucky to sell it to them.

    Thx
    Tom

I'm sure the .com owner would have purchased the domain in other extensions if they saw value in it. Generally, I think you would be wasting your time and money trying this as a strategy.

People that own the .com usually don't truly need the .net. It's more of a defensive registration thing.
Selling a .com to the .net holder will be easier, but beware TM issues.

A good quality keyword .net will sell on its own merits. I've sold several in the $xxxx range and one in the $xxxxx range at auction.

I only deal with .com's and that's all I have in my portfolio of domains. The .com is the only marketable extension there is and people believe in them.
