This for me has been a good thing because sometimes I monitor and get the names after a month or two or a few days.
I wonder if it is because I just searched that domain as whois is updating and it shows available for moment.
I'm not sure the whois checker you use is reliable.

I only use GoDaddy bulk check. I am not complaining because it gives me a heads up. It only does it with names that have updated in whois in the redemption period. Just wondering why.
Domain availability check at GoDaddy is not reliable, it doesn't look like they do live queries.
