Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!The new time slicing function, along with hourly configurable bursting, is now available to all DAC/EPP hosted clients.
To access and configure, please login to your interface and then click the "Polling, Bursting & Time Slicing" button under the "Dropcatching Setup"section.
An explanation and overview of the features are provided below, taken from our online help.
If you have any issues or would like assistance in configuring these options then please don't hesitate to contact me by PM.
Time Slicing:
This feature gives you the ability to divide your 24-hour DAC quota into hourly 'slices'. These slices may be set to query the DAC at differing rates for any particular hour.
Bursting:
If checked, the burst option will poll the DAC at twice the speed of the set polling rate, and then 'sleep' for an identical period.
How to implement:
After setting your 24-hour plan, you will need to stop your session and restart it once you have made changes. If you make changes and do not stop/start, your changes will be ignored.
To reset the system to the default, just enter 184 in the 'Default Rate' box at the top; hit the 'Set All' button, and then hit the 'Update Time Slices' button.
Why is this of any use?
You may have some statistics that indicate that you are more successful at different times of the day. We do not provide this information. This add-on to the system is an update requested by users.
Kind Regards,
Simon & Dale
