So, .TEL landrush starts in 6 minutes. $325 dollars for 3 years, for a glorified parking page that you can't move.

I doubt that .TEL will even get proper search engine recognition. If anything, I would expect to see expanded results on G - contact details being pulled right into search rather than the usual summary being shown.

Does anyone see positives?

haha that's a good idea, dontaskdont.tel. Only problem is that you couldn't fill it with amusing content, instead you get a generic parking style page. I wonder what the average .TEL site bounce rate will be. I'd put my money above 80%.

i wonder how many people still do not realize you cannot have a developed website on .TEL domains.... it is basically the same template for everyone... you are not allowed to modify the DNS settings.

im not knocking the idea really... i just dont think people are 100% clear on this. (especially not that horrible bot from namepros... whats its name... Jeff?)

like i said, its not a bad idea in theory... but in practice, it will definitely prove difficult getting people to use a separate domain simply for contact information.... it is hard enough convincing people to use a separate domain for a mobile website that you can actually modify the DNS setting on...

.TEL is a joke you cannot develop them their only use is contact information for example if you went on a website but you wanted to contact them but you carnt fined their contact details if the site name was domain.com then to contact them domain.tel thats the idea but its a joke. I carnt evan think of what .tel names will get targeted traffic maybe food delivery ones thats a gues lol
