Selling to resellers has it's advantages and disadvantages. Think of it like this, remember back when you were in grade school or even junior high and you had lunch with other kids who were your friends? Do you remember how you might have had a peanut butter sandwich and your friend had a ham sandwich? Your friend loves peanut butter and you LOVE ham. Keep following me here, there is an outcome to where this is going. Well you guys would trade what you didn't want in hopes to having something that you could get out there and vice versa.
So when selling to resellers, think of my sandwich theory.

You aren't going to be able to develop every site you wish to and you aren't going to be able to sell every domain to every end sale you come across to. Why might you ask? Well first off, maybe your resource bank isn't that diverse or possibly you run around with different cliques that wouldn't be interested in the domain you are approaching. One thing I have learned in this business is to cut my losses when I needed to.

The disadvantages to selling to resellers is you won't always get the price that you might have been hoping for because just like you, they are hoping to make a considerable amount of profit from the next individual & every smart business person knows to get as low as you can.
A good ratio that I have come to live with is that if I see a domain that I want and know that I can get 10-18% ROI. I am pretty happy, in some cases I can pull higher numbers but I have never been one to be greedy when it came to getting as much ROI as I can.

When selling to resellers, think of selling to yourself; It's a great way to curb the disappointment when you don't get really high prices.
Also selling to resellers can be a great benefit if you are looking to get rid of names really fast. You can go to some very popular forum sites that offer a place where people can post what they are wanting/needing and you can connect with them. Other places are social networks that deal with buying, selling and trading of virtual property.

Some key notes here: Don't expect to receive 6 figures for a reseller price unless your name is that good, but in that case. You should be looking at targeting an end sale rather than a reseller.
Be realistic when asking prices to others, if you send a quote, don't always think it will be fulfilled. Resellers are everywhere, not just in forums. I'll emphasize later where you can find additional resellers but the next topic, I'll talk about are end sales.
