They started at $1000 in nic.mx, to make sure keyword domains sell at high price. If you wait, you lose your opportunity in mexico market.

They will bring down to $35 or less after the landrush.

After first year, it is $30 or so. You may buy more years at GoDaddy.

I bought my first .mx domain for 2 years and for second year they charge $30+.
